Once in a great while I actually complete something...

What is it? |
Why? |
|
 |
Frankenradio! A combination of an 1982 Ford Fairmount
Futura AM/FM radio, a ceiling fan, and a heavily modified external SCSI
CDROM case. I had to buy a decent antenna, speaker, and misc hardware. |
Why not? This radio has some kick ass reception for being legal
drinking age. I hadda have something to remember the car by. |
 |
Manly Power Remote. Essentially a
bunch of misc junk soldered together. Yes it works. I should make a
version 2 someday. |
Too many remotes these days have hard
to find buttons. All the buttons are the same size, and ya cant see them
in the dark. Okay, I used a remote with easy to figure out buttons to
build it, but the damn buttons weren't working anyways. |
 |
Homebrew Gameboy Flashcart. There
are very elegant solutions to this now. Very cool and pretty, but you
think I really care about pretty? |
You can download cart images from the
internet... And you read stuff like "the best Japanese games aren't
released here...". Well, problem solved. |
 |
Electronic Voice Recorder. Built
from a Radio Shack sold chip, according to the data sheet that came with
it, on RS perf board, with RS standoffs, etc... |
When I built this, it seemed amazing. Since
that time these have been made really small and made into novelty
gizmo's. |
